** Cousins & Mayorson assinged to Mudcats, Perez & Petersen reassinged to Jupiter, Glen reinstated to Mudcats **

Zebulon, NC --- The Florida Marlins have announced a litany of player moves impacting their Double-A affiliate Carolina Mudcats prior to tonight's series opening showdown against second place Tennessee at Smokies Park.  

OF Scott Cousins and IF Manuel Mayorson have been assigned to the Mudcats, Cousins arriving from High-A Jupiter and Mayorson back from Triple-A Albuquerque.  IF Smelin Perez and OF Bryan Petersen have been reassigned to Jupiter.  Additionally, RHP Willie Glen has been reinstated to the Mudcats roster from Rookie-level Jamestown.  Glen's reinstatement is retroactive to July 31st, taking the roster spot of RHP Gaby Hernandez following his mid-day trade to the Seattle Mariners on Thursday.   

The Mudcats are at the Southern League roster limit of 24 players..
