What inspires you to be active in the community, Miracle League, and with the fans?
I love getting out and being active in the community. It’s so much fun to see the kids laughing and having fun. That’s what it is all about, not baseball. But, the kids enjoying our company and getting to play the game that I play everyday.
I know that your younger brother plays for the Jacksonville Suns. Who is more competitive?
We are both so competitive. We feed off of each other and have always competed against each other growing up.
What as been your biggest individual accomplishment in baseball?
My biggest honor was being the 2007 Southern League MVP.
Who was your favorite childhood super hero?
BATMAN
What is your favorite board game?
Guess Who?
Who is one former baseball player that you would select to be on your team?
Mike Schmidt
What is your all team favorite movie?
Dumb & Dumber
What do you do in the off season to stay in shape?
I hit, run, and workout with my brother.
I also go shopping with my wife (all the time!).
You’ve played a lot of infield positions. What is your favorite position to field?
Shortstop, they do everything.
BirdZerk will be in attendance on Friday Night. Do you think we’ll be able to see you and BirdZerk dance again?
Haha! Maybe, you never know.
What is your favorite sport to play besides baseball?
I like to hunt. I also like watching the dawgs (Georgia) beat everybody in football!
What’s the biggest life lesson you’ve learned from the game?
Baseball is not life. It’s just a game. |
